Unsung hero wins national award for customer service at Stonewater
A top-notch customer advisor at one of the UK’s biggest social housing providers has won a national award for his outstanding work.
Jon Jones, Customer Contact Advisor at Stonewater, was thrilled to win the ‘Going the Extra Mile’ category in the UKCCF National Contact Centre Awards 2019.
Organised by the UK Contact Centre Forum, the award recognises unsung heroes – employees who go above and beyond the call of duty to help their customers and colleagues.
Since joining Stonewater’s Customer Contact Team in February 2017, Jon has become an excellent advisor and an invaluable asset to the organisation.
Jon’s caring, patient and helpful attitude has inspired those around him, prompting numerous compliments from satisfied customers and appreciative colleagues.
He also saved the day when a woman collapsed outside a Stonewater home, calming down a customer who called up about the incident, alerting emergency services and gaining as much information as possible to help paramedics treat the casualty.
Emma Cook, Assistant Director Customer Contact Services at Stonewater, said: “Jon is much admired by the team and this national recognition is well-deserved.
“One of our managers summed up what Jon brings to the team when he described him as ‘an all-round great guy – always happy, polite and extremely helpful’. Jon does a great job, so we are over the moon that he has won this award.”
Jon picked up his gold ‘Going the Extra Mile’ award at the UKCCF National Contact Centre Awards ceremony in Milton Keynes (25th October).
