Stonewater named top housing provider to work for
Housing association made top 25 of Best Companies list.
For the second consecutive year, social housing provider Stonewater has made the Best Companies list for the top 25 best housing sector organisations to work for in the UK.
Colleagues across the organisation are celebrating as Stonewater ranks 24th in the list. The announcement follows news that Stonewater also made the ranking for the top 100 not-for-profit organisations to work for, which was revealed last month.
Best Companies survey thousands of employees from housing associations and ALMOs each year, to determine the organisations with the highest levels of workplace engagement.
Using a unique workplace engagement model, organisations are measured across eight factors: management, leadership, company culture, personal development, team, wellbeing, fair deal and giving something back.
Stonewater is understands the importance of offering opportunities for engagement among colleagues. One example is its I Am Stonewater initiative which was launched more than a year ago to encourage people to bring their whole self to work.
By creating an environment that allows everyone to be their true self, colleagues are able to apply themselves to any obstacle or challenge to come up with an innovative solution.
Nicholas Harris, Chief Executive at Stonewater, said: “We’re immensely proud of what we’ve achieved as an organisation over the last five years in terms of the services we provide and our development plans, but we certainly couldn’t have achieved it without having a strong team to deliver it all.
“To make the top 25 best housing associations to work for list, for the second year running, really demonstrates our passion as an organisation to do all that we can to give everyone the opportunity of having a place that they can call home.”
