Rebecca will be responsible for identifying, securing and delivering new affordable developments in Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire, Oxfordshire and Hertfordshire. She joins Stonewater with extensive experience in both housebuilding and in the design and technical coordination of new-build housing schemes. Prior to her Stonewater appointment, she was Business Development Manager for housing association Cross Keys Homes. Rebecca also worked for housebuilders Taylor Wimpey as a Senior Design and Technical Coordinator, and Willmott Dixon Housing as Assistant Site Manager and Design Coordinator.

“It’s an exciting time to be joining Stonewater and I am really looking forward to applying my knowledge and experience of working with housing organisations and housebuilders in the delivery of high-quality, well-designed affordable homes,” says Rebecca. “There is a critical shortage of affordable housing in the region and my task is to find new and innovative ways to help create the right type of affordable housing in locations and communities where it is needed most.”

Rebecca will be involved with a number of new Stonewater developments in the region, including a 43-affordable-home scheme which is currently under construction in Arlesey, Bedfordshire.

Jonathan Layzell, Stonewater’s Executive Director for Development, comments: “Rebecca’s professional background in both affordable housing and the construction sector makes her a valuable addition to our talented regional development team. I’m delighted to have her on board and look forward to working with her on our upcoming projects.”

A keen marathon runner, Rebecca often takes part in charity run events and is an active committee member and secretary for her local running club Ampthill & Flitwick Flyers in Ampthill and Flitwick, which has over 250 members.
