Commencing today (12 April 2021) the responsive repairs and empty homes contract will cover at least 1,800 homes and has the potential to be extended to 15 years.

The collaborative partnership aims to create a whole asset management solution, with plans to include planned and cyclical works across Stonewater’s homes into Ian Williams’ work streams.

Ian Williams, which currently oversees repairs for Stonewater’s homes located in the South East and East Midlands, will now be responsible for undertaking works across all homes in Stonewater’s wider Central region including Northampton, East Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.

Catherine Evans, Director of Homes, said: “Partnering with businesses whose values align with our own is an important part of the decision and procurement process, as we are asking them to ensure the care of our customers and their homes.

“Ian Williams places a strong emphasis on putting the customer at the heart of their work, similar to our own Customer Promise. This alongside their committment to self-delivery, meaning they rarely subcontract work out, enables them to ensure the quality of every job. Working together we are confident that we can deliver on our commitment to developing and maintaining homes where our customers are proud to live.”

Anthony Pycraft, Ian Williams’ Response Operations Director comments: “We are delighted to have secured this long-term partnering contract with Stonewater. Having worked with Stonewater for a number of years, we truly understand and value their dedication to service excellence and the Customer Promise, and as a national provider of Responsive Repairs we know just how much of a positive impact an excellent repairs service has on the customer experience.

“Our strategy at Ian Williams is based on forging long term, successful partnerships with our customers as we know that this drives the ability to add real value for our clients. This is turn results in a positive, lasting impact on the homes that they provide. With the potential to extend this contract to a 15-year term, this really demonstrates the commitment that both Stonewater and Ian Williams have to this partnership.

“We look forward to continuing our journey with Stonewater and enhancing the excellent working relationship already in place, and with the support of our planned and painting teams within the business, we are excited about moving to the provision of the full end to end Asset Management solution.”
