National housing provider opens new high-tech office in Stourbridge

Supporting a mobile and digitally-enabled workforce has been the driving force behind the official opening this week of social housing provider Stonewater’s new high-tech regional office in Stourbridge.

The new hub at The Crown Centre in Crown Lane, will serve the
organisation’s national and West Midlands operations and primarily house Stonewater’s development, assets, new build, human resources, income and regional allocations teams.

The Crown Centre office is one of three hubs in the organisation’s West Division which manages 9,365 Stonewater homes across the West of England, with 357 properties in Stourbridge. The new premises currently house 48 Stonewater colleagues and provide a drop-in and meeting hub for mobile-workers and those visiting and in transit from other Stonewater offices across the country.

The high-tech facilities are part of a three-year investment Stonewater is making in digital transformation to increase operational efficiency and create savings which can be invested into improving the customer experience, developing new housing products and building more affordable homes.

Stonewater’s modern, light and vibrant new workplace has been designed for connectivity and paperless working in consultation with Stonewater colleagues. Its 278 sqm flexible workspace supports smart technology and multi-channel digital communications. The office provides a variety of work settings including state-of-the-art digital work-stations, AV-equipped meeting rooms, hot desks, drop-in benches, relaxing break-out areas and a fully-equipped kitchen/dining space.
