MP for Warwick and Leamington, Matt Western, visited Stonewater's latest scheme in the constituency.

The scheme, named Regency Grange, is located in Myton Green, just a few miles south west of Leamington Spa and south east of Warwick. 42 affordable homes are set to be provided to local residents through a range of social rent, affordable rent and shared ownership options.

Representatives from Stonewater and its construction partner, Vistry Homes, met with Mr Western at the site to view the progress of the scheme as well as discuss the ongoing need for affordable housing options for those in the local area.

Mr Western said of his visit: "Warwick and Leamington are increasingly becoming too expensive to live in. It’s therefore crucial that high-quality social housing is provided locally for our community.

"The Regency Grange development is well placed to deliver good quality, affordable housing to the local area and I look forward to welcoming residents into the community."

Marc Howard, Head of Development at Stonewater added: "We know that the creation of housing like that being finalised at Myton Green provides a much-needed increase of affordable options for local residents.

"At Stonewater, we pride ourselves on creating communities that stand the test of time and reflect the local area. At Myton Green we’ll be adding value by working with the community to enhance the public areas and sense of place.

"Stonewater partners with the Community Forest Trust (CFT), which plants five trees for each new Stonewater home that is built. We are also able to draw upon the strength of our Longleigh Foundation to provide support to any customers in hardship. All in all, offering sustainable communities to our investment partners."

Stonewater manages more than 550 affordable homes across Mr Western’s constituency, including St Mary’s Road in Leamington Spa.

The affordable housing provision at Myton Green sits on a larger development of 129 homes being delivered in association with Vistry Homes, Warwick District Council and Waldeck Associates Ltd.

Paul Stafford, Managing Director of Vistry Homes, commented on the development of the new homes: "Working in partnership to build sustainable communities such as Myton Green is our lifeblood here at Vistry. These homes are in a great location for shopping, amenities, travel and education, and will provide local people with a superb place to live.

"It’s always fantastic to see new affordable homes nearing completion, particularly with the addition of green spaces and facilities that will be a hugely positive addition to the new community and to people’s lives."
