Nikki Whitehouse, a Customer Contact Services Manager at the not-for-profit organisation’s office in Bournemouth, has been unveiled as a winner for her commitment to social housing.

The annual award recognises housing professionals over the age of 40, who have been working in the sector for more than 10 years.

Initially, Nikki began her career in housing as a Careline Officer and then joined the Stonewater team in 2006 managing a team of ten. Today, Nikki manages more than 50 people and is renowned across the organisation for positively changing the working attitudes of her colleagues.

Nominated by Emma Cook, Stonewater’s Assistant Director of Customer Contact Services, she said: “Nikki always put customers at the heart of everything she does and as a key operational manager, she instils this same desire in everyone in her team.

“This has been demonstrated in various ways, but most visible in the number of colleagues that have progressed from the customer contact team into other housing roles.

“Stonewater’s customer contact team are always looking to give the best service possible and this stems from the atmosphere and environment that Nikki has created among her department.

“More impressively, a large number of colleagues have joined our customer contact team with a short-term vision and under the management of Nikki, have been inspired to move on with the aim of finding new and innovative ways to better service customers.”

In addition to being named as one of 2019’s “40 Over Forty,” Nikki has achieved a number of accolades for Stonewater including the CCA Accreditation in 2011, which is an independent assessment and endorsement of an organisation’s customer service operation.
