Stonewater completes transfer of Mount Green homes
1,700 Mount Green Housing Association homes across Surrey and West Sussex are now fully incorporated into Stonewater’s portfolio of more than 40,000 homes across England.

Since joining the Stonewater Group in 2024, Mount Green customers have benefited from Stonewater’s wider financial resources, funding capacity and support services, while continuing to receive locally focused services in their communities.
“Over the last 18 months, bringing Mount Green and Stonewater closer together has helped lay the foundations for a stronger, more consistent service for customers,” said Jonathan Layzell, Stonewater’s Chief Executive. “Customers in Surrey and Sussex can now benefit from the resilience and experience of a national organisation, alongside the local knowledge and community focus they value. Stonewater has also gained valuable insight from Mount Green’s approach to locally focused services.”
