No place for violence in society - Nicholas Harris

Stonewater's Chief Executive has shared a message following the violence over the 3 August weekend.

Date published: 05 August 2024

Stonewater's Chief Executive Nicholas Harris:

I’m shocked by the violence taking place in communities across the country, following the tragic deaths of three children in Southport last week. I’m sure we’re all thinking of the families of the children, at an incredibly difficult time for them.

Violence and intolerance like this has no place in society, and I think we’d all echo the Prime Minister’s sentiment that everyone has a right to be safe. We firmly believe that everyone has the right to safe and secure accommodation, and Stonewater supports a wide range of communities, including homes for refugees.

We have customers who live in some of the areas where violence has occurred, and we would encourage anyone who has been affected by criminal activity to report this to the police. If you need to contact Stonewater, you can reach us by calling 01202 319119, or for non-urgent enquiries through MyHome.
