Mulberry Meadows

To enter the George Blunden Public Art Prize, artists are being asked to submit a public art proposal for Stonewater’s scheme Mulberry Meadows in Castle Cary.

Located on the Wayside Farm site, upon completion Mulberry Meadows will comprise of 125 brand-new affordable homes spanning 18.7-acres with ample open space.

Centred around a village green and local play area, Stonewater has committed to additional funding for landscaping, which will include an eco-trail, wildflower meadow and community orchard for the new residents to enjoy.

Whilst artists are encouraged to consider how local history and the community can be incorporated into the final design of their submissions, the following images detail the final site plan and what some of the finished homes will look like.
