We’re really excited to be introducing free smart sensor devices into a number of our homes across the country.

FAQs
What are smart sensors?
Smart sensors are small and discreet devices for monitoring the environmental conditions of your home.
They check for temperature, humidity and CO2 levels, so we can spot potential issues like damp or poor ventilation before they become more serious.
They also check that your smoke, heat and carbon monoxide alarms are working properly. If anything goes wrong, we’ll get an alert so that we can resolve the issue rather than you having to call us.
Can I have a smart sensor?
We’ve selected the first group of customers to be eligible for these smart devices at random.
If we’ve written to you and you’d like to opt in, please complete the form in the email. We’ll be in touch to arrange a quick and easy installation.
If we haven’t written to you and you’d like a smart sensor, don’t worry! We’ll be rolling this out to more customers over the coming months.
Who can see the data? How will it be used?
Stonewater will monitor the data from your sensors to build a clear picture of the condition of your home and any issues that might appear. From this, we’ll know about certain repairs before you report them to us and be able to explore energy efficiency improvements for your home.
You’ll be able to download an app to view your data and see hints and tips for making your home more efficient.
We won’t collect any personal data, and the sensors do not record sound, images or any personal information. We’ll make sure all data about your home is securely processed and stored.
All data is securely encrypted and handled in line with UK data protection laws (GDPR).

Great! We’ll be in touch to arrange a quick and easy installation. The installer will explain how it works.
What if I don't want a smart sensor?
If you don’t want to have a smart device installed at this time, that’s fine! We strongly believe that these sensors will be a huge benefit to our customers, but it is your decision.
