Swindon Foyer

Swindon Foyer provides safe accommodation for homeless young people aged 16-25. Residents have access to coaches who can help them achieve their aspirations, develop life skills, as well as support with accessing education, training and employment opportunities.

Criteria

Referrals are made by Social Services or via the Housing Options Team at Swindon Borough Council, or via social services.

Accommodation

Swindon Foyer has a total of 57 beds. All rooms are en-suite, and residents have access to communal kitchens, garden and an enrichment room.

Help and Support

Residents are allocated a Coach and have regular one to one personal support sessions which identify goals for the young person and the support needed to help achieve them.

Funding

The project is funded through licence fees, housing benefit, local government contracts and grants applied for directly by the Swindon Foyer.
