Our environmental impact

We are committed to minimising our impact on the environment and providing safe, warm and affordable homes for our customers.

We are working to reduce our CO2 emissions in line with the government’s net zero by 2050 target, but we know that sustainability goes further than reducing carbon.

We are committed to working with nature to address climate change, create healthy and efficient homes and empowering our customers to live sustainably.

Use the links below to read about our ambition in more detail in our Sustainability Strategy, as well as how we are monitoring our environmental performance.

36,876 trees planted so far

To minimise our environmental impact, we plant one new tree for every house we build and The Community Forest Trust also plants an additional 5 trees.

Read our Sustainability Strategy

Since our first environmental strategy launched in 2019, we have already achieved improvements in performance and received recognition across the sector.

Our 2026-2030 strategy builds on our previous strategies, as we continue to work towards achieving net zero by 2050.
