Community Forest Trust event

To mark our partnership with the Community Forest Trust (CFT), our first tree planting event took place on 27 March 2019 in Pontefract Park, West Yorkshire.  

15 Stonewater colleagues took part in the event and we planted over 1,300 trees. We also learned about the ‘wood wide web’ – a network of roots by which nearby trees can communicate.

We also teamed up with the CFT on 26 February 2020 at Dinton Pastures, Wokingham.   

In the first event of its kind, 18 Stonewater colleagues spent the day helping to revive some of the recently weather-damaged areas caused by Storm Dennis to promote growth among the woodland and support the survival of local wildlife.
