Are you still carrying out gas and heating safety checks?

In line with government guidelines, we’ve made some changes to the way we’re delivering our services to help keep everyone as safe as possible. This includes stopping all non-essential face-to-face contact, which affects many services, such as repairs, which we deliver in and around your home.

However, as a responsible landlord, it is also essential that we continue to provide key services such as annual gas and heating safety checks, to protect you and your home. These safety checks also remain a Regulatory requirement during the coronavirus pandemic.

If you have a compulsory annual gas and heating safety check due within the next few months, you should have received a letter from us to let you know.

We understand you may have concerns about us visiting your home at this time but please be assured that we’ve adopted a safe system of working based on current government guidelines.

As part of this, all contractors will wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including gloves, follow public health advice regarding hygiene, and maintain social distancing at all times while they are checking the heating appliances, smoke detectors and carbon monoxide alarms in your home. You can help us by ensuring that you and your family stay in separate rooms to the contractor while they are working and by following public health advice before, during and after the visit.

Our contractors will always contact you in advance to make an appointment. If there are any issues that may prevent them visiting your home, for example, if you or a member of your household is shielded or self-isolating, please let them know and they will be happy to arrange the appointment for a later date.
