Making communities safer #ASBAwarenessWeek

Housing providers, councils, police forces, fire services and community groups from all across the country have reported a significant increase in anti-social behaviour (ASB) during the various national lockdowns during the pandemic.

Tackling the issue is a national priority with Resolve ASB launching the UK’s first-ever ASB Awareness Week (19-25 July 2021) in an attempt to share best practice and projects that are aiming to keep communities safe.

As part of the ASB Awareness Week, Stonewater hosted its own webinar Making Communities Safer to highlight:

  • How housing providers are reviewing customer safety in line with the social housing white paper
  • Community partnerships and using the community trigger
  • The debate around injunctions vs closure orders and their proactive use

Featuring guest panellist Gary Woodward, Director at ASB Action, and Stonewater colleagues Hannah Saltonstall and Amanda Lowder, you can now watch the webinar chaired by Mark Lawrence, Senior Content Editor at the Housing Quality Network below.

If you have any questions about any of the issues discussed in the webinar then please contact Hannah.Saltonstall@stonewater.org.
