The CIPR PRide awards recognises work across public relations and communications, and is divided into regional awards covering multiple categories.

The George Blunden Public Art Prize was shortlisted for both the not-for-profit and low budget campaign categories following a hugely successful inaugural launch of the competition last year.

The prize invites emerging and established artists to pitch their ideas for the chance to win cash and five public art commissions whilst raising awareness of public art and the social impact such work can have on communities.

The 2021 contest resulted in 47 entrants and 69 clippings across local, radio and trade media, and was deemed such a success that Stonewater now intends to run the prize annually, with the 2022 prize entries opening later this year.

Jonathan Layzell, Executive Director, Development at Stonewater said: “We know that strong, engaged communities are the starting point of success for new neighbourhoods.

“A home is more than just bricks and mortar, and the area around it should inspire generations and make our customers proud of where they live. We’re so proud that the 2021 George Blunden Public Art Prize was recognised at these industry awards and look forward to seeing the wealth of talent and ideas that come to life in the 2022 Awards.”
