'Move On' projects: Milton Road & Ellis House, Swindon
'Move On' projects; Milton Road and Ellis House provide safe accommodation for a total of 14 young people aged 18-25.
The projects provide access to a specialist coach to help residents achieve their aspirations as well as the facilities at our Swindon Foyer (including workshops on healthy relations, substance abuse, life skills, offending, education to employment and mental health).
How to apply
You can self refer to either of these 'Move On' projects by telephoning the Milton Road office on 01793 430967 or by visting the Milton Road address to make an appointment.
Alternatively you can be referred by any specialist service, such as Swindon Borough Council, YOT - the Youth Offending Team, or by any professional working with you ie; mental health nurses, a GP, Education Welfare, a Youth Engagement Worker, college tutors, Housing Options teams and homeless departments.
This property is based in the town centre of Swindon. The project comprises of a town house with three 2 bedroom flats to support six young people. It includes a shared kitchen, lounge and bathroom as well as a communal lounge for all residents.
A 'Move on' staff member is based at this address.
This project is located in Albion Street, Swindon - a five minute walk from the town centre. The accommodation supports eight young people aged 18-25, in three 2 bedroomed flats and two 1 bedroom flats. Residents share a bathroom, lounge and kitchen.
Residents are able to meet with a named 'Move on' project worker each month to discuss and help support their goals and aspirations. There are also weekly workshops at the Swindown foyer that residents are welcome to attend.
