Facilities at Arkwright Court

Arkwright Court is a retirement living scheme consisting of 35-self contained one-bedroom ground and first floor flats. Flats benefit from their own entrance accessed off an internal corridor for added security.

Additional benefits at Arkwright Court include:

  • Community room where we host regular social events like bingo, coffee mornings, relaxation therapy, quizzes and games nights (also available for external hire - please contact us on 01202 319119 for more information)
  • Private parking for residents and visitors
  • Domestic pets allowed with written permission (e.g. fish and small birds). Well-behaved dogs may visit but must be managed at all times
  • Large communal gardens including a greenhouse, potting shed and communal seating
  • Communal laundry available to residents (at a small charge)
  • Regular visits by healthcare professionals and milk and newspaper deliveries

Supporting you

We support residents in all of our retirement living schemes to continue living independently. This support includes:

  • A community alarm service for out of hours support (managed 24/7)
  • Housing-related support to help you remain independent at home - our local team can signpost you to other agencies and support systems to help maintain your independence
  • Effective housing management and tenancy sustainment services – our team can mediate between Stonewater if you have any problems (e.g. with your rent or with neighbours)
  • Low-level support services to improve your health and wellbeing
  • Health and safety building checks

Local area

The scheme is ideally situated in the heart of the historic market town of Leominster. Local amenities and transport links are close by, and the scheme is within level walking access to the shops.

Leominster Community Centre is close to the scheme. This is the local hub for several groups including support groups and the local Playhouse cinema.
